Syllabus Tip - Resetting All or Part of Your Syllabus
Perhaps you have gone through your syllabus, making all kinds of edits to make it perfect, but then realize, “oh, wait. I’m totally in the wrong class.” Or maybe you made a lot of changes to the pre-populated language for the Academic Honesty component and realize you would like to go back to the original default language that was there before your changes. These are just a few reasons why Simple Syllabus’s Reset option can be a huge timesaver. For this tip, we are going to discuss how to reset all or parts of your syllabus.
Studio Capture: A New Way to Screen Record in Canvas
Users now have two options for screen recording in Canvas, the traditional Screencast-o-matic that you may already by used to and Studio Capture. Canvas Studio Capture for Chrome and Edge browsers is a new option for integrated screen capture available in Canvas. Studio Capture integrates with your existing webcam and eliminates the need to download a separate screen capture product.
BigBlueButton 2.7 Update is Here!
Though not as big as the 2.6 update, BigBlueButton’s 2.7 update is here. This update offers users improved usability, increased engagement, and more performance. Here's a breakdown of what's new in 2.7.

Two Communities - An Abundance of Great Canvas Information and Resources!
One of our primary goals is to ensure our users feel supported in Canvas by providing an abundance of resources and a variety of easy ways to access them. We also really value seeing instructors engaged in the process of learning and sharing - both amongst their peers and with our team. After all, you will continue to learn and grow (and have questions) throughout your time as a Canvas user. Canvas Update! Rich Content Editor Multiple File Upload and SpeedGrader Locations
We have two small, but helpful, Canvas updates to share. Soon, you’ll be able to paste or drag and drop multiple files into the Rich Content Editor and access SpeedGrader in a few new locations.
Major Update to Big Blue Button in Canvas
The video conferencing tool Big Blue Button has just released a major update that is now active! This update features a powerful, yet easy-to-use, new whiteboard for increased engagement with students. This release also includes enhancements to breakout rooms, polling, layout management, and a few bonus features for personalization and fun in your virtual classroom
New Canvas Features - Instructor Submit on Behalf of Students, Gradebook Sorting, and Equilibrium Button
New Canvas features include instructor submission on behalf of students for file uploads, new Grade book filtering, and the equilibrium button is now added to the rich content editor.
