Connecting a Computer at FSCJ
Knowing how to set up your new computer can be overwhelming, so we prepared this quick guide making it easier to know what to do in order to stay connected at FSCJ. Read on to learn how to connect to WIFI while on an FSCJ campus, how to access the FSCJ Student Portal, Canvas, and email, as well as a special note for all of our digital media students.
Connect to WIFI
FSCJ-Wireless is the primary wireless connection name (SSID - service set identification) for FSCJ students, faculty, and staff.
To connect to Wifi while on any campus:
1. First, access your device's Wi-Fi menu
2. Then, select the network named “FSCJ-Wireless”
3. The wireless network login ID and password are the same information you use to log in to myFSCJ
(For connecting using a Chromebook, the instructions are a bit different. See the file below.)

If you're having problems connecting to the College’s wireless network, please check the following:
Lost ID or password — You must be able to log in to myFSCJ (student portal) or you're able to use your College provided email account.
You must have:
a current version of antivirus software installed.
your wireless enabled.
the correct date and time configured on your device.

Download Microsoft Office for free
To access Microsoft Office 365 to download Word, Outlook, and other apps for free, follow the directions below:
To obtain the free version of Microsoft Office, visit https://outlook.office365.com/.
Enter your FSCJ student email address.
Log in with your FSCJ credentials.
Click your initials/profile photo icon located near the top right corner of the screen.
Select My Account.
Select Install Office from Office apps and devices on the My Account tab.
Student Email
Access your student email online by going to myFSCJ (my.fscj.edu) and clicking the Envelope icon. You can also access College email directly by visiting outlook.office365.com.
Canvas messages from your instructor can be found in the Canvas Inbox. By default, those are also forwarded to your College email, but the settings can be modified.
Access Canvas
Access Canvas directly by going to canvas.fscj.edu and signing in with your College credentials. Additionally, you can access Canvas from within myFSCJ, the Student Portal.

Access myFSCJ, the Student Portal, by going to my.fscj.edu (you can also find a link to Canvas there).
Multimedia Students
If you are a multimedia student, you can get access to Adobe Creative Cloud.

You can sign in to adobe.com using your school account. If you’re not sure which account to use, contact your instructor to confirm.
